Get unique hands-on experience with scientific research. Participate in lab and field-based experiments on various local as well as foreign spider species. Research will range from estimating population densities, to measuring individual specimens, to conducting mate choice or foraging trials. Learn how to collect, identify, and maintain local spiders. Interact with graduate students and help in data collection. No prior experience is necessary, but campers must be willing to work with live crickets and spiders. Campers must also be willing to work outside and 'get their hands dirty.'
